Aaaah

Aaaah is a horror anthology Tamil film, first of its type, written and directed by Hari Shanker Hareesh Narayan. V Loganathan, V Janarthanan together produced it for KTVR Creative Frames. The film is a collection of five events connected to one another and joined together to make a sensible story. The main characters casted for this film are gokulnath, Meghna, Bobby Simha and Bala Saravanan.

As mentioned the film features five different horror stories shot in five different places; Japan Dubai, The midsea of the bay of Bengal, A highway in AP and a remote ATM booth in Tamilnadu. The story is about three friends ( gokul, Meghna and Bala) who conduct a series of journey to prove the existence of ghost. Earlier they had a bet with their millionire friend about its existence and if they could prove that they were promised a large amount as remuneration. They have heard many stories about ghosts from these places but they couldn’t photograph it as a proof. When they heard about a pen drive having video on ghost attacking a customer in an ATM counter, they went behind it and the watchman having the pendrive demanded Rs. 50 Lakhs for it. They approached their friend for advance money but he rediculed, teased and behaved rudely towards them. That night Mehgna lost her lover’s life and before his death he conveyed some vital information about the ghost. On the way back to home they watched an unreleased CD and for their surprise the same incidents happens to them as shown in the movie. They didn’t know about the danger going to overshadow them. The ghost was more powerful than they assumed. Could they save their lives and win the bet? Who was the ghost challenging them? What happened to their wealthy friend at last? For answers you watch the film ’Aaaah’ with a hold breath.

This is the first ever horror anthology film in Tamil. It is a full-fledged horror film with different concept. It is a more horror centric film and the director have succeeded in developing it to that level with some well scripted terrifying scenes that will keep audience at wild twist. The background music is well competent such that it intensifies your fear level and tension. The film crew had succeeded to make a horror film with such a low expense when considered to the expense of Hollywood horror films. But the movie failed to connect each event in a sensible way sometimes and mistimed reactions and dialogue delivery takes away the thrills. And In my opinion the serious drawback of the film is that it does not say anything, who was the ghost? Where did he come from and his purpose? He is simply killing his ‘preys’ and goes to somewhere.
