There were lot of controversies and allegations against actress Urvashi in recent times. She fell prey to the media attacks regarding her habit of excessive drinking and not being sober during court proceedings during her divorce trial. Recently in an interview she disclosed that she was a teetotaler before marriage. She said that she started drinking after getting married to Manoj K. Jayan. In Manoj K. Jayan’s family everyone joins for a drink together, it is the practice there and slowly she turned to become a habitual drinker.

She also said that she is planning to write an autobiography and in it she will narrate what all has happened in life. She also added that she came to film without interest to act. Her ambition was to go to college for studies, but it didn’t happen. After each film she thought that she will stop acting and go for studies, but that didn’t happen. The actress also stated that she doesn’t want her daughter to pursue acting.
