Baahubali 2 box office collection Day 11: Prabhas-Rana’s film reaches new milestone

SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion became the first Indian film to cross Rs 1000 crore worldwide.

First, there was the Rs 100 crore club. But with Baahubali 2: The Conclusion smashing all records to become the first ever Indian film to make over Rs 1000 crore worldwide, there is now a new benchmark. The Hindi-dubbed version has raked in over Rs 300 crore in 10 days, breaking the record of Aamir Khan’s Dangal. While domestically, the film has earned over Rs 800 crore, the worldwide collections have surpassed Rs 1000 crore.
It remains to be seen if other big ticket films like Salman Khan’s Tubelight, Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar-starrer 2.0 and Thugs of Hindostan featuring Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan can overtake Baahubali 2 in the box office race. Baahubali 2 also became the first Indian film to cross Rs 100 crore in North America, setting new records overseas as well.

With the fantastic box office run that the film is enjoying, ticket prices have not gone down, even at the end of the second week. There was speculation that SS Rajamouli was all set to make Baahubali 3 and take the franchise forward, but KV Vijayendra Prasad, Rajamouli’s father has ruled out the possibility.
