The much-awaited third installment of the Dabangg franchise, Dabangg 3, which stars Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead, will start shooting in April 2019 – details inside

Although, Salman Khan will be seen next in Ali Abbas Zafar’s upcoming film Bharat with Katrina Kaif, fans are also excited for his other upcoming film – Dabangg 3. The third installment of the Dabangg franchise has been in the news for over a year and Salman is constantly asked when he’ll start shooting Dabangg 3 at every single media event. Well, we finally have an answer after producer Arbaaz Khan confirmed that the shooting of Dabangg 3 will begin in April.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Arbaaz Khan, who directed Dabangg 2 and produced both films in the franchise, revealed the following: “We start shooting in the first week of April in Maheshwar and later move to Wai and Mumbai,” the producer said.

Salman will once again reprise his role of Chulbul Pandey and Sonakshi Sinha as Rajjo. The film has roped in south superstar Sudeep to play the main antagonist in Dabangg 3. While Sonu Sood was loved as Chhedi Singh in the first Dabangg movie, Prakash Raj stole the show, playing the main antagonist in Dabangg 2. Now, fans are hoping that Sudeep will bring a new kind of intensity playing the 3rd villain in this franchise.

The report also quoted a source saying that Salman and Sonakshi will be shooting for a romantic number in Jaipur. Meanwhile, Prabhudeva, who is set to direct this one, is currently busy with Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor’s Street Dancer, which is being shot in London. According to the source, Prabhudeva will return in mid-March and the Dabangg 3 team will begin preproduction work immidiately.
