Deepika Padukone on working with Ranveer Singh

Deepika Padukone is reuniting with Ranveer Singh for Kabir Khan’s 83. However, the 33-year-old actress says that their personal equation won’t have any role in this film.

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh – an on-screen jodi that grabbed eyeballs with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ramlila. And recreated the magic in Bajirao Mastani. Now years later, Ranveer and Deepika are coming together on the big screen with Kabir Khan’s 83, and that too, as a married couple. If Ranveer has stepped into the shoes of veteran cricketer Kapil Dev for the film, Deepika Padukone will essay the role of his wife Romi Dev.

And their fans are excited to see this real-life jodi return to the reel. However, Deepika Padukone has clarified that their personal equation won’t be visible in 83.

“As actors, you don’t think about your personal equations while doing a film. You are fully focused on the moment and the character. You cease to exist as the person you are and only live the character that you are playing. Our personal equation won’t have any role in this film,” Deepika told Mumbai Mirror.

While Deepika has played an array of characters on the 70 mm, she is quite excited to step into the shoes of Romi Dev for 83. The 33-year-old actress revealed that she likes Romi’s candour and the way she conducts herself.

“I feel so inspired every time I meet her. She has an extremely refreshing energy, is intelligent, knowledgeable, and funny. I like her candour. Romi ji is someone who is extremely honest and when she needs to express herself, she does it with a lot of dignity. I like the way she conducts herself with so much grace,” Deepika told the daily.

It was in June this year that Deepika Padukone joined the cast of 83, and made the big announcement on social media.
