Producer Karan Johar celebrated the film’s success with Janhvi, Ishaan and Shashank recently.

Directed by Shashank Khaitan, Dhadak tells the story of two star-crossed lovers, Parthavi Singh (Janhvi Kapoor) and Madhukar Bagla (Ishaan Khatter), who belong to different castes. All hell breaks loose when Parthavi’s family discovers their affair, and the couple is forced to elope. They soon realise that they can’t survive on love and fresh air, and a happily-ever-after is far from easy.

There was a strong buzz surrounding the film, as it marked the debut of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor. Fans were also excited to see if Dhadak could recreate the magic of Sairat.
