The much-awaited sequel to the Irrfan Khan starrer 2017 hit film ‘Hindi Medium’ has started rolling. Titled ‘Angrezi Medium’, the film will mark the return of the actor on the big screen after a brief break since he was undergoing treatment after being diagnosed with cancer. Irrfan was undergoing treatment in London and returned to Mumbai last month.

It was earlier reported that Kareena Kapoor Khan was rumoured to star in the sequel alongside Irrfan Khan. However, both the makers or Kareena didn’t confirm the news. The previous film saw Saba Qamar playing the lead alongside Irrfan and their on-screen chemistry was very much praised by the audience.

Interestingly, Radhika Madan, who plays a vital role in the film has confirmed the speculations about Kareena starring in the film. The actress who has already started shooting for the film took to her Instagram handle today to share a photo of the clapperboard. Sharing the picture, Radhika captioned, “As excited as the man behind! So so so grateful for this new journey. @irrfan @homster @maddockfilms #kareenakapoorkhan #dineshvijan.”

The film will see Irrfan Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan sharing the screen space for the first time ever. The team is currently shooting the first schedule in Rajasthan. Radhika Madan will be seen playing Irrfan’s daughter in the film. The team will then move to London to shoot further after completing the first schedule in Rajashtan.

‘Angrezi Medium’ will be helmed by Homi Adajania and will also star Deepak Dobriyal in a pivotal role. Recently, producer Dinesh Vijan had said that when Irrfan gave his first shot, everyone on the sets got emotional.
