Kartik Aaryan took to Instagram to share a picture of himself, announcing preparations for Karan Johar’s Dostana 2. He will star opposite Janhvi Kapoor in the film.

Kartik Aaryan is the talk of the town these days. In a span of one year, the Luka Chuppi actor has bagged many big projects. Among them is Karan Johar’s Dostana 2. Kartik will star in the film opposite Janhvi Kapoor.

Kartik took to Instagram to share a picture of himself with the script of Dostana 2, announcing that he has began the preparations for the film. He shared the picture saying, “#Dostana2 ka Prep Shuru.”

Dostana 2 is produced by Karan Johar, like the original film. In June, the producer-director took to Twitter to announce Kartik and Janhvi as the lead characters of the film.

He wrote, “The return of the franchise with unlimited madness! @TheAaryanKartik , #Janhvi & a soon to be launched fresh face – making it the trio for #Dostana2, directed by @CollinDcunha . Watch out for the third suitable boy! @apoorvamehta18 @dharmamovies.”

After four months of the film’s announcement, Karan introduced the third lead of the film Lakshya,a TV actor. He wrote, “Both happy and excited to introduce the new kid on the Dharma block! LAKSHYA will be making his debut with us in #DOSTANA2 and from thereon, we hope to start a solid cinematic journey together! Please welcome #Lakshya and shower him with all your love and blessings.”

The first film, Dostana, was a massive hit. The film starred John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles. It was directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Karan Johar and Hiroo Yash Johar.

Kartik Aaryan will be seen in Pati Patni Aur Woh with Ananya Panday and Bhumi pednekar. He will also share the screen space with his girlfriend Sara Ali Khan in Imtiaz Ali’s next film Aaj Kal.

In Dostana 2, he will be seen romancing Janhvi Kapoor. Apart from big projects, Bollywood’s new heartthrob Kartik Aaryan is working with top leading ladies of Bollywood.
