A lot was spoken after Priyanka Chopra opted out of Salman Khan’s ‘Bharat’. Reportedly there had been a fallout between PeeCee and Salman. Although the actors never directly spoke about the same, they never failed to take a pick at each other whenever they got a chance.

The on-screen couple was set to reunite after 12 years for the Ali Abbas Zafar’s directorial. Salman had taken to Twitter to welcome PC onboard for the film. He wrote, “#Bharat. welcomes u back home @priyankachopra. See u soon. By the way humari film Hindi hai.”Responding to this warm welcome, Priyanka wrote, “UP Bareilly की पली बड़ी हूँ जनाब…. #DesiGirl forever. Very happy to be a part of #Bharat and see all of u on set!!.” However, when the shooting of the film was about to go on the floors Priyanka left everybody in a state of shock with her decision of walking out of the project.

After PC opted out of the film, names several names of Bollywood actresses like Shraddha Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Katrina Kaif, speculations around the leading lady of Salman Khan’s next were never-ending. Finally, it was Katrina Kaif who was roped in for the quintessential role of ‘Kumud’ aka ‘Madam Sir’.

Many speculative reports started doing the rounds regarding PC’s exit from the film but nothing was certain until Salman spoke about rumours. Salam being witty, first thanked Priyanka for quitting the project as Katrina got to play such a nice character.

He reportedly revealed that Priyanka met him and told him that she wouldn’t be able to do the movie as she is getting married to Nick Jonas. He had also offered to adjust the dates but she was not sure about the time that she would take for her marriage preparations. Salman also expressed his disappointment in the actress not even calling him after the release of the movie.
